What educators are saying

I love this dollar up unit! The students love it too. They really enjoy the social story that can be read at the beginning of every lesson. Thank you for such a great unit!
The flip books were fun to make. The task cards we use as center work with a teacher. I hope to use more of this bundle this year as part of Monday Mondays in my functional math class.

The next dollar up strategy is used for teaching money to special education students who are unable to or have difficulty with making change. It allows students to determine if they have enough money to make a purchase. In the next dollar up strategy, the student counts the number of dollars in the price and “one more for change.” For instance, if an item costs $3.20, the student would circle / give 4 $1 bills.

What teachers are saying…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I have been planning a mini-unit for a student with a "next dollar" IEP objective, and was so glad to have found this fantastic resource! I love that it includes explicit instructions for teachers along with data sheets - such a time saver! The variety of materials included are so thorough and engaging. Can't wait to get started and see my student's progress!” - Shenanigans in SPED

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Wow--so much in this packet for the price. The detailed directions and support for teaching are very helpful as are the data sheets. Appreciate the black and white as well as colored version. More to the point, the content is terrific and a clear, excellent way to teach dollar-up strategies along with a variety of ways to interact with the materials. This will be so helpful in my work as an occupational therapist working with teachers to teach planfully, sequentially, and through steady skill mastery. My first purchase from Christine (though I follow her blog and appreciate all she puts out there to the autism community) and I was not disappointed! A+” - Christine K

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “This resource works perfectly for my students. I love the books that help to explain each step and the included data sheets make it easy to record their data.” - Lisa G.
