Product Description
Are you trying to set up your middle or high school life skills special education classroom? This set of autism visuals will help you easily set up a meaningful and engaging classroom for your special education students. It includes common visual supports for your classroom including picture and written schedule cards, job charts, group schedules, classroom rules and redirection visuals.
Use these autism visuals to set up a visually attractive classroom with bright and solid colors! The pictures included with this visual schedule for autism classrooms are designed for older learners to be age-appropriate while still providing clear visual cues. This set contains the basic visual setup needed for a classroom of up to 15 students.
Included with this visual schedule for autism classrooms bundle:
✅Individual Picture Schedules with 15 Colored Borders
In each schedule, there are 66 picture cards corresponding to common activities for life skills special education classrooms serving students with special needs. Each student can have an assigned color and there are 15 color possibilities. The color helps the student to identify which schedule is his or hers. I’ve included visuals for community sites that are common for students for community outings (e.g., grocery store) as well.
✅67 Group Schedule Icons / Check-In Schedule Icons
There is a group schedule icon for each picture on the individual picture schedules. In addition, there is a group schedule icon that represents center-time when students are all engaged in different activities so that they can be represented as “centers” on the group schedule.
✅66 Individual Written Word Icons in 8 Colors
These are designed for students who do not need the pictures and are able to read and comprehend the words for the activities. Typically there are fewer students who are able to use a schedule independently with just words, so I included 8 colors.
✅20 classroom jobs with 4 blank cards
There are 20 school jobs included and 4 blank cards. A title graphic for the job board is also included (with 2 choices of design). I designed the classroom jobs visuals for older students to do around the school. They include activities like working cleaning the cafeteria, stacking chairs, shredding, recycling, sweeping, etc. These are all jobs that students would do as part of learning to take care of their community (the school). I also included doing laundry and dishes for classrooms with that capacity.
✅Classroom Rules
There are individual rules (1 per page) that you can put on a bulletin board and select the ones you need. There are also 2 one-page sets of rules. The rule visuals match the visuals for the visual cueing lanyard.
✅First-Then Board
12 Visuals for a visual cueing lanyard for redirection
3 mini/task schedules—handwashing, bathroom, arrival routine
Stop signs for doors and limit setting
