Visual Supports for Home

Sharing is caring!

This is an excellent video with a demonstration of visuals that can be used in the home to support individuals on the autism spectrum. It was put together by  the Indiana Resource Center for Autism with Rent-A-Center, Westfield Washington Schools, Noblesville Schools, Hamilton Boone Madison Special Services and Carmel Clay Schools which has a variety of other great supports for families and classrooms. Their articles are particularly useful for teachers and families.  They also have a blog on resources that highlights apps on Mondays and a variety of other resources throughout the week.  The video is in 2 parts and can be accessed below are at YouTube. This would be a great resource for anyone looking for ideas for use of visual supports. Teachers it would also be a great resource to share with the parents of your students with ASD for how they can incorporate visuals at home.
