Resource Roundup from Behavioral Problem Solving: Tantrums, Biting and Screaming, Oh My!

Sharing is caring!

Those of you who follow me on Instagram have seen this picture before.  I recently had the opportunity to present to about 150 parents and teachers in the Huntsville, AL area.  They were an awesome group and the organizers are terrific!  It was a great day (I think) and I promised that I would provide links to the materials and resources in the presentation because the links were sometimes too small to see.  I will do a series of posts on behavioral support after I finish writing about vocabulary.  In the meantime, I thought everyone might find this list of resources helpful in assessing and addressing challenging behaviors.

INTERVIEWS:
Interviews can be used as part of a functional assessment but are typically best used in combination with observational data.
Functional Assessment Checklist for Teachers and Staff (FACTS)—has directions and is aimed at efficiency.  There is some evidence that shows it is effective when combined with a confirmatory observation.
DIRECT OBSERVATION FORMS:
Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence forms:
CECP ABC Form
Below are a variety of resources I shared for addressing challenging behavior, many of which are freebies on the blog.  Click on the picture to go to the resource.
